It is not often you hear of an interior designer who started her career at 16 years by designing a family friend’s kitchen. That person is Kelly Hoppen known as the “Queen of Taupe” – one of the few interior designers known throughout the world. Some of her hallmarks are the use of sumptuous fabrics, grouping of identical accessories and unusual placement of furniture.
Notice the feature wall of patterned marble in the bathroom.
Her love of 2-3 identical objects placed next to each other is very evident in her designs.
This even extends to chandeliers above the dining table.
Dining chairs don’t have to be classified as dining chairs to be used here.
