The question then arose about the correct size of rug for the space. The general rule of thumb goes along the lines of ‘bigger is better’. However, most of us are guilty of having rugs that just cover the coffee table like this one.

But you have to question, what is the purpose of the rug? Is it for the feet to feel something soft and cozy when sitting down or is it to prop up the coffee table?
Here is a general guide for rug sizes. Good. Better. Best. Size does matter.
